Healthy Batter Fries

Beautifully battered hot chips on a warm summers day? Yes please!!

Did you know you can make your own, almost as good as the real deal BUT healthy!!

Kath is here to bring you her favourite summer snack, my healthy chipper fries!

Perfect for any social gathering, afternoon snack in the sun or a side to any dinner.

Hope you enjoy as much as I do.

YOU WILL NEED:

  • Sweet potato/ white potato/ pumpkin (or a bit of everything!)
  • 1/2 Cup of almond meal
  • Olive oil
  • 3 tbs of garlic powder
  • Pink salt

METHOD

Preheat your oven to 200 degree celsius.

Chop your vegetables of choice into chip shapes.

Place them in a large bowl. Coat with olive oil and massage with hands.

In a seperate bowl combine your almond meal, garlic powder and pink salt.

Add dry ingredients to coated vegetables and massage with hands again in till all is coated  well with batter.

Place each chip onto a baking tray and bake for 15 minutes.

Take out and flip. bake again for another 15 minutes.

Now enjoy with your favourite dip!

MY FAVOURITE CHIP DIPS…
MUSTARD DRESSING
YOU WILL NEED
  • 2 tbs of dijon mustard
  • 1 tbs of maple syrup
METHOD

Combine

YOU WILL NEED
  • 1/2 avocado
  • Lemon juice
  • Red onion
  • Salt
METHOD

Finely chop onion.

Mash avocado in bowl with the lemon juice and salt.

Once mashed stir in your onion and enjoy with your chipies!!
