My Chocolate Bark

Hmmm the sweet scent of coco! Who isn’t a chocolate fan I mean really? I remember one of barriers at the start of my journey to health was 110% my need for chocolate. I was, like many of us, addicted to the sweet taste. 

This was in till I decided it was time to create my own version! I have many different recipes for chocolate but this one is by far the easiest and most affordable. SO I thought I would hit you with it first!!

Here is my chocolate bark! Perfect for any sweet treat, snack or dessert, loaded with nutrients which, lucky for us, can help take away the guilt.

YOU WILL NEED:

  • 1 Cup of coconut oil
  • 4 heap tbs of cacao/coco power
  • 1/3-1/2 cup of maple syrup
  • OPTIONAL: ‘Extra crunch’ If you would like to add a little extra flair, simply sprinkle anything from crushed nuts, dried fruit or maybe my salted caramel popcorn recipe or smoothie shack granola inside.

METHOD

Its quite simply!

Melt coconut and place into a mixing bowl.

Stir in your cacao powder and maple syrup, then combine well.

Place into a mould dish of choice (I just line any container with foil to make it easier) then pour mixture inside.If you are adding ‘extra crunch’ nows your time to sprinkle your toppings of choice inside dish.

Freeze for an hour in till set.

Store in freezer.
