SMOOTHIE TIME! As the weather here in Aus gets warmer I am ready to add these bad boys back into my staple pantry. Not only are smoothies refreshing and delicious, they can also be very good for us (if made with the right ingredients!)

Before we get started on my top three heath smoothies, here are some fun facts why I choose to incorporate them into my diet…

  • Fun, easy and delicious way to get your micronutrients into your diet.
  • Quick and made for “dummies” .. eg ANYONE CAN DO IT.
  • Don’t have to be a “health freak” to enjoy them as they’re are soo many ways you can make them.
  • Meal flexibility
  • Easy on the digestive system and stomach

Lets get smoothie making…

GUT HEALING SMOOTHIE

  • 1 Tbs of Cinnamon
  • 1 cup of frozen Blueberries    
  • 1 Tbs of Chia seeds
  • 1/4 of a Avocado
  • 1 Cup of Almond milk
  • Optional: 1/2 of a frozen Banana
METHOD

Blend.

SKIN GLOW SMOOTHIE

YOU WILL NEED:
  • 1 frozen ripe Banan
  • Hand full of Spinach
  • 1/4 of a Avocado
  • 1 Tbs of cinnamon
  • 1 Tbs of Turmeric
  • 1 Cup of Almond Milk
METHOD:

Blend.

SALTED CARAMEL SMOOTHIE

YOU WILL NEED:
  • 1 1/2 Frozen Ripe Bananas
  • 2 Medjool Dates
  • Pinch of Pink Salt
  • 1 Cup of Coconut milk

Optional: 1 square of Dark Chocolate

METHOD:

Blend.

WANNA MAKE IT A BOWL?

Add another 1/2 frozen banana and only 1/2 cup of coconut milk. Blend.
