MAC ‘N’ CHEESE

Sometimes we just crave that good old 'Krafts' mac n cheese.. but we all know that its not good our insides so Kath's here to help! Listen it's hard to make it the real deal but i've tried to get to it as close as can be! Plus this recipe is vegan and dairy free! (can also be gluten free upon choice). Packed full of healthy fats and amazing vitamins.
YOU WILL NEED:
  • 1 cup of soaked cashews – Soak in water for no less than two hours.
  • 1/2 cup of nutritional yeast
  • 1 tbs of turmeric
  • 1 tbs of garlic powder (add more if would like)
  • 2 tbs of salt (more if you like it- I like! hah)
  • Pasta of choice
MY RECOMMENDATION:
  • Buckwheat pasta
  • Quinoa pasta
  • Lentil pasta
  • Wholemeal pasta
METHOD

While your pasta is cooking its time to make your sauce!

Place your cashews into a high speed blender with half a cup of water. Blend in till creamy consistency is formed.

Now add the rest of your ingredients and blend again.

Taste test and add more salt or nutritional yeast depending on your taste buds.

Pour as much or as little of the mixture you like into a bowl of pasta.

MIX AND FEAST ON YOUR HEALTHY MAC N CHEESE!
